Random Pose Free App Reviews

Good to draw

I love the app. Given a few free minutes, I grab a sketch pad and pencil and I am good to draw. Do wish I could bookmark ( or similar ) If I am interrupted, Im DONE. I cant find the pose again.

Eww

The anatomy is kimd of gross, what with the colors and all.. And I agree with the other reviewers- we need to be able to CHOOSE from like an album or something the pose we want. Anyways, for those of you complaining about the poses disappearing way too fast, all you have to do is press the home button and sleep button AT THE SAME TIME to get a snapshot of your screen. Then go to your devices photo album and it will be there. Have fun! :) EDIT: And yes the arrows do work. You just have to tap it once and wait a few seconds. BE PATIENT PEOPLE.

Crashycrashy

Nuff said

Okay, but...

Its a great app, but the anatomy is kind off gross. Perhaps more options? Like skin and clothes?

Excellent app

This incredible FREE app is a boon to illustrators and any artist who wants to further their study of the human figure. Live models are not always available and cannot hold difficult action poses for very long. This app can also give you some ideas for poses to use in a life drawing class. I have used this on my iPad with no problems whatsoever. The only detraction on the iPad is the prominent jaggies on the outer edges. I look forward to a future version with cleaned up edges, groupings of pose and gender types, and a system for marking favorite poses. I take screen snapshots at present, but would like a rating/sorting system too.

Good for keeping your chops up

I wouldnt say this was much of a reference tool so much as an exercise tool--they give you random poses, and if youre in the mood to just go with a pencil, its a great way to make sure youre always sketching something fresh. And to those complaining that the anatomy is gross, I would encourage more effort towards maturity considering that knowledge of muscles is very important for any artist working in the line of living subject matter.

TIMER

YOU NEED TO ADD A TIMER- for example a 30 second drawing!!!!!!! A MUST!!!!!

Four Stars

Awesome app. Could use some work, but overall very good. (:

Non functional

WARNING! THIS APP DOES NOT WORK! Will not go beyond the startup screen.

Great, but I wish there were no ads

The app works great; it only takes a few seconds to load, and changing the pose you want to look at is easy. You cannot choose between male/female poses, but thats to be expected since the poses are chosen at random. It would be perfect if there were no ads! I dont understand why people are giving this app such a bad rating just because of how the bodies look. Its easy enough to download another app if you dont like how the poses look. The app does work quite well, so if you can handle realistic looking muscles in the poses, you should download this app.

Wonderful.

This app is perfect for the artist looking to study anatomy for both the male and female bodies. I myself am a self-taught artist trying to improve my humanoid drawings. This app comes in very handy, and the variety of poses is amazing!

Great for gesture drawing!!!

I love this app along with the ensomobile apps. I like being able to flip through for practice for my human figure gesture drawing. For 99¢ u cant go wrong. Its cool bc of the convenience of having a reference whenever I am inspired! I recommend!

Could

Could be good, IF IT WORKED!!!!! Get to start up page then crashes.. this is really VERY annoying!!!!

Love it!

As I said, I love this app! I use posemaniacs all the time, and its nice to have access to it on my iPod. What I might suggest is being able to choose a pose, and possibly have an option to save certain poses as favourites. Otherwise it is a great app, especially for being free. :)

Cool

Never thought of this before. I was so used to referencing stock images lol, danke :)

Need an iPad version

It would be great if the (currently non-existent) iPad version had some of the features of the website, which is excellent. this is okay, but not as useful because of its size. Pixel doubling helps.

Categories would be cool

Its a little annoying having to sift through all the of the poses to find just one that you need. Itd be helpful if there were categories you could use. For example one could be "female sitting" or "male forward standing" but still leave the option to look through randomly. Otherwise, its a very useful app.

FOR THOSE HAVING LOADING PROBLEMS...

If you are having loading problems, delete the application and reinstall it. It should work fine after that.

Needs better selection

Good, but, correct me if I am wrong, there are only 14 poses??

Random pose

After downloading what was supposed to be an upgrade- I am now not able to get the program to operate at all!! I push the icon and it goes to opening screen then closes the program!!!
